Crestron ULTIMATE IC6 6.5 in. 2-Way All Weather In-Ceiling Speaker

It is a 6.5 in. 2-way all weather in-ceiling speaker from the Crestron Ultimate range, made by Origin Acoustics. It has a carbon fibre woofer, a steerable ceramic-coated aluminium tweeter and IP66 protection, and it mounts with a toolless twist and lock bayonet system. Crestron notes that the Ultimate and Reference IC6 and IC8 speakers are interchangeable because they share the same cutout diameter. The recommended cutout for the ULTIMATE IC6 is 222 mm (8.75 in), which is useful when replacing or upgrading a speaker in an existing ceiling opening.

Yes. The 1 in. (25 mm) ceramic-coated aluminium tweeter is steerable up to 30° off-axis. It crosses over from the 6.5 in. carbon fibre woofer at 3.5 kHz with a 30 dB/oct slope, and the speaker's response is 52 Hz to 30 kHz (±3 dB).

It is IP66 rated for particles and water, with a glass fibre reinforced ABS baffle and an electroplated, powder coated steel grille. Crestron specifies operation from -15.5° to 104°C and 10% to 90% relative humidity, non-condensing, and it is covered under the Crestron standard limited warranty.

The speaker is 244 mm in diameter without the grille, and the round grille is 259 mm. Depth is 105 mm without the bayonet ring and up to 135 mm with it. The recommended cutout is 222 mm, and the speaker weighs 2.17 kg.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the ULTIMATE IC6 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the ULTIMATE IC6 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
