About the Crestron REFERENCE IC6

The REFERENCE IC6 pairs a 6.5 in. (165 mm) woven glass fibre woofer with a 1 in. (25 mm) Silk DPSD tweeter that can be steered up to 30° off-axis, crossing over at 3 kHz with a 30 dB/oct slope. Frequency response is 60 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), with a frequency range of 41 Hz to 20 kHz at ±10 dB. Impedance is 8 Ohms nominal and sensitivity is 87 dB at 1 W/1 m.

Power handling is 100 W programme and 200 W peak. Speaker cable connects to two gold-plated spring terminals that take wire up to 10 AWG (6 mm²). The baffle is glass fibre reinforced ABS, and the electroplated, powder coated steel grille is paintable and held in place by a magnetic bezel. Crestron lists various grille options for this model, which is rated for indoor use only.

The bayonet mounting system is designed to minimise interference with other items in the ceiling space. Depth is 3.58 in. (91 mm) without the bayonet ring and up to 5.31 in. (135 mm) with it, and the recommended cutout is 8.75 in. (222 mm). Crestron notes that the Ultimate and Reference IC6 and IC8 speakers are interchangeable because they share this cutout diameter. Each part number is one white textured speaker.
