Crestron GLA-IR-QUATTRO-COM1-24 STEINEL IR Quattro Presence Detector

It is the STEINEL IR Quattro COM1-24, a low voltage passive infrared presence detector offered by Crestron. It needs only minimal movement to detect a person, and controls lighting according to presence and a selectable ambient light level, with an integrated force off photocell.

Crestron gives presence coverage of up to 4.7 x 4.7 m (22.09 sq m) at 9 ft, with 360° square detection zones that the mechanical reach setting can scale. The detector can be mounted at heights from 2.5 to 8 m (8 to 26 ft).

It is a low voltage sensor that runs on 18-24 VDC/VAC at 30 mA, for use with a power pack or building automation system. Its control output is rated 1 A at 30 VAC/VDC, and it is IP20 rated for 0°C to +40°C.

It mounts to a 4-inch square box, a 4-inch octagon box or a round 3.0 mud-ring, or directly to the ceiling using quick mount spring tabs. It measures 120 x 120 x 77 mm and is UL 2043 plenum rated.

Crestron notes that the COM2-24 versions in the Control PRO group control HVAC as well as lighting, and that DIM-24 versions add optional 1-10 volt dimming and daylighting. The COM1-24 on this page is described for lighting control.
