About the Crestron CM2-SWEX

The relay handles incandescent, tungsten halogen and magnetic loads up to 1200 W/VA at 100-240VAC, electronic ballasts and CFL up to 1200 W/VA at 100-120VAC, self-ballasted LED lamps up to 400W at 240VAC, and motors up to 1/2 HP. A neutral wire connection is required. The switch matches the rest of the Cameo 2 dimmers, switches and keypads for new or retrofit projects.

The full keypad takes two to six buttons in small, medium and large sizes, with the bottom four programmable as side-to-side rockers, and button events for normal, tap, double-tap and press and hold. Six RGB backlit text regions and six RGB indicator regions give feedback, with white adjustable between 2000K and 8000K and an ambient light sensor for day and night modes.

Wireless control is infiNET EX 2-way RF at 2.4 GHz through a CEN-GW1, CENI-GW1, MC4, MC4-R, CEN-GWEXER or CENI-GWEXER gateway, sold separately. CM2-AUX and CM2-KPEX multiway controllers connect over a traveller wire. The switch fits a 1- to 4-gang wall box of the type Crestron specifies, with an 89 mm box depth recommended and derating required in multi-gang applications. The faceplate is not included.

What is the Crestron CM2-SWEX?

It is a Cameo 2 in-wall switch with a full keypad and infiNET EX wireless communication, for 100-240VAC. An integrated relay controls non-dim loads, including incandescent, magnetic low voltage and tungsten-halogen lighting, electronic ballasts and 1/2 HP motors.

What loads can the CM2-SWEX switch?

Yes. Crestron states that a neutral wire connection is required. The HOT, REM, LOAD, NEU and GND connections are all screw terminals for 14-12 AWG wire, and the switch runs on 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz line power.

What is the difference between the CM2-SWEX-W-S and CM2-SWEX ENGRAVED?

The CM2-SWEX-W-S is White Smooth with preinstalled default engravings on six small buttons. The CM2-SWEX ENGRAVED is custom engraved, with the finish specified in the custom engravings file. Both are the same full keypad switch.

Which gateway does the switch need?

It needs a Crestron wireless gateway, sold separately: the CEN-GW1 or CENI-GW1, the MC4 or MC4-R, or the CEN-GWEXER or CENI-GWEXER. Typical infiNET EX range is 46 m (150 ft) indoors and 76 m (250 ft) outdoors to the nearest mesh network device, subject to site conditions.

Can 1Install supply, install and programme the CM2-SWEX?

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CM2-SWEX on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Does the CM2-SWEX come with a warranty?

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CM2-SWEX develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

We order Crestron for each quote, so availability depends on Crestron's stock at the time. We check it before we quote and put the expected delivery date on your quote, so you know where you stand before you pay.

Can I buy the CM2-SWEX without installation?
