About the Crestron CM2-DIMEX-RKR

Incandescent, tungsten halogen and magnetic loads are supported up to 750 W/VA at 120-240VAC, or 600 W/VA at 100VAC, and motors up to 1/4 HP. A switching mode covers non-dimmable loads. The minimum and maximum light levels are adjustable, and the dimming curve can be linear, logarithmic or custom. There is no minimum load when a neutral is connected.

RKR models accept only a large rocker button, and one is included. Button events can be programmed for normal, tap, double-tap and press and hold. Feedback comes from three RGB backlit text regions and a full RGB backlit bargraph that can also act as three RGB indicator regions. The backlight white adjusts between 2000K and 8000K, and an ambient light sensor runs separate day and night modes.

The dimmer communicates over infiNET EX 2-way RF at 2.4 GHz and needs a CEN-GW1, CENI-GW1, MC4, MC4-R, CEN-GWEXER or CENI-GWEXER gateway, sold separately. It supports CM2-AUX and CM2-KPEX multiway controllers over a traveller wire. It fits a 1- to 4-gang wall box of the type Crestron specifies, with an 89 mm box depth recommended and derating required in multi-gang applications. The faceplate is not included.

Which gateway does the dimmer need?

It needs a Crestron wireless gateway, sold separately: the CEN-GW1 or CENI-GW1, the MC4 or MC4-R, or the CEN-GWEXER or CENI-GWEXER. Typical infiNET EX range is 46 m (150 ft) indoors and 76 m (250 ft) outdoors to the nearest mesh network device, subject to site conditions.
