Crestron ZUMMESH-EXP-16A-DIMU Zūm Wireless 16A Universal Dimmer

It is the Zūm Wireless Universal Dimmer Module, a single-channel dimmer rated 16A at 100-277V that brings universal phase control dimming to a Zūm wireless commercial lighting system. It dims LED, incandescent, electronic and magnetic low-voltage, neon/cold cathode and 2-wire fluorescent loads and communicates over Zūm Mesh.

In normal operation it detects the connected load type and selects the mode automatically: reverse phase (trailing edge) for incandescent and electronic low-voltage loads, and forward phase (leading edge) for loads such as LED and magnetic low-voltage. A DIM MODE button behind the cover lets you select auto detect, reverse, forward or centre phase, with LEDs showing the active mode.

Both are single-channel 16A universal dimmers for the same load types. The ZUMMESH-EXP-16A-DIMU communicates wirelessly over Zūm Mesh with a supplied antenna and has a SETUP button for room setup, while the ZUMLINK-EXP-16A-DIMU connects to Zūm wired devices through two RJ-45 Zūm Link ports. Choose the one that matches the existing Zūm system.

Crestron's zero-cross filter technology compensates for line voltage and frequency fluctuations, which improves immunity to power line noise and reduces lamp flicker. A ZEROCROSS FILTER button behind the cover enables or disables the filter. Basic zero-cross detection is the default, and BASIC and FILTER LEDs show which mode is active.

The NEMA Type 1 enclosure surface mounts and must be fitted upright on a vertical surface, with at least 6 in. (153 mm) of clear space above and below. It measures 224 mm high, 163 mm wide and 81 mm deep, and operates from 0° to 45°C. Wiring uses captive screw terminals for 24 to 10 AWG wire.
