Crestron ZUMLINK-US-HALLWAY-DLS Ultrasonic Hallway Presence Detector

It is a STEINEL ultrasonic dual-direction hallway presence detector with daylight sensing and Zūm Link communication, part of the Zūm wired lighting control range. It mounts in the ceiling, uses a linear bidirectional coverage pattern engineered for hallways, and measures daylight with a closed loop sensor to help save energy.

It uses bidirectional ultrasonic sensing at 40 kHz with a 6.5 x 65 ft linear coverage pattern. Crestron lists a maximum detection zone of 50 x 20 ft (1,000 sq ft), or 15 x 6 m (90 sq m), and a minimum of 40 x 20 ft (800 sq ft), or 12 x 6 m (72 sq m).

No. This model provides presence detection and daylight sensing only. The ZUMLINK-US-HALLWAY-DLS-RLY is the hallway detector with an additional output relay for HVAC control or another relay-input capable device, with normally open, normally closed and common connections.

Power is taken from the Zūm Link bus, with a maximum draw of 28 mA. Two orange RJ-45 ports link it to load controllers, keypads and other Zūm wired devices in the room over CBL-CAT5E-ZUMLINK-P CAT5e cable, sold separately, with up to 750mA of pass-through current for daisy-chaining.

Like the other Zūm Link detectors, it mounts directly in the ceiling, in a 4 in. square or round junction box, or on a 3 in. mud ring, which are not included. The plastic housing measures 121 mm square and 72 mm deep, is IP20 rated and is designed for 0° to 40°C.
