Crestron ULTIMATE IWS82 In-Wall Dual 8 in. All Weather Subwoofer

It is an in-wall subwoofer from the Crestron Ultimate range, made by Origin Acoustics. It uses an 8 in. aluminium active woofer with an 8 in. aluminium passive radiator to produce deep bass for multiroom audio and home theatre systems, and it is built to an IP66 all weather standard.

It is rated for 200 W program and 400 W peak, with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 86 dB at 1 W/1 m. Frequency response is 35 Hz to 175 Hz (±3 dB), and the wider range runs from 30 Hz to 250 Hz (±10 dB).

The subwoofer is IP66 rated for dust and water and uses weatherised construction, and Crestron lists it as suited to marine applications. The operating temperature range is -15.5° to 80°C (4° to 176°F). The baffle is brushed, anodised aluminium and the grille is electroplated, powder coated steel.

The cut-out is 318 mm x 717 mm (12.51 in x 28.22 in). Without the grille the unit is 735 mm high, 336 mm wide and 95 mm deep, and the rectangle grille measures 751 mm by 352 mm. It fixes with an in-wall dog ear mounting system and weighs 10.16 kg (22.4 lb).

Yes. The grille is electroplated and powder coated steel, it is paintable, and it attaches with a magnetically held bezel design. This page covers the white textured version, sold as a single unit, and Crestron notes that various grille options are available for the range.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the ULTIMATE IWS82 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the ULTIMATE IWS82 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
