Crestron ULTIMATE ICS8 8 in. All Weather In-Ceiling Subwoofer

It is an 8 in. all weather in-ceiling subwoofer from the Crestron Ultimate range, made by Origin Acoustics. It gives deep bass from a discreet ceiling position for whole-house music, multiroom audio and home cinema, and it is IP66 rated. This page covers the white textured version, sold singly.

Crestron's specifications give a response of 45 Hz to 150 Hz (±3 dB) and a range of 35 Hz to 175 Hz (±10 dB). The subwoofer has a custom 2nd order low-pass filter at 150 Hz, and its sensitivity is 86 dB at 1 W/1 m.

Power handling is 200 W programme and 400 W peak, with an 8 ohms nominal impedance. The input is a detachable 2-pin terminal block with 5.08 mm pitch, rated 10 A, which accepts cable up to 12 AWG (3.31 mm²).

Crestron lists it as suited to marine applications. The subwoofer is IP66 rated for particles and water, with a fibre reinforced polypropylene baffle and a powder coated steel grille, and it is specified from -15.5° to 80°C and 10% to 90% relative humidity, non-condensing.

The recommended cutout is 222 mm (8.75 in.). The subwoofer is 244 mm across without the grille, the round grille is 259 mm, and depth is 120 mm without the bayonet ring or up to 134 mm with it. It weighs 2.26 kg and uses a toolless bayonet mount.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the ULTIMATE ICS8 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the ULTIMATE ICS8 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
