Crestron ULTIMATE IC8-DT 8 in. Stereo Dual Tweeter In-Ceiling Speaker

It is an 8 in. 2-way all weather in-ceiling speaker with dual tweeters, designed for single-point stereo, from the Crestron Ultimate range made by Origin Acoustics. It is IP66 rated and mounts with a toolless bayonet system. This page covers the white textured version, sold singly.

It means one speaker reproduces both stereo channels. The ULTIMATE IC8-DT has two 2-pin pluggable screw terminal inputs and dual 1 in. dome tweeters, which Crestron says give crisp highs with consistent coverage across a wide listening area, while the 8 in. woofer handles the low end and midrange.

Response is 38 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), with a range of 35 Hz to 30 kHz at ±10 dB. Power handling is 150 W programme and 300 W peak, sensitivity is 86 dB at 1 W/1 m and impedance is 8 ohms nominal. The crossover is at 3.5 kHz.

It is IP66 rated for particles and water, with a glass fibre reinforced ABS baffle and an electroplated, powder coated steel grille that is paintable and uses a magnetically held bezel. It is specified from -15.5° to 80°C and 10% to 90% relative humidity, non-condensing.

The cutout diameter is 220 mm (8.66 in.). The speaker is 244 mm across without the grille, the round grille is 259 mm, and depth is 109 mm without the bayonet ring or up to 134 mm with it. It weighs 2.39 kg.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the ULTIMATE IC8-DT on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the ULTIMATE IC8-DT develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
