About the Crestron TS-880

The 8.1 in. (204 mm) screen runs at 1280 x 800 with 350 to 400 nits brightness, automatic brightness control and 5-point multitouch. Six virtual buttons in a collapsible toolbar can be shown or hidden individually. The built-in web browser gives access to online programme guides and other web-based services, so DVRs and similar devices can be controlled from the panel rather than from a phone or tablet.

Live H.265, H.264 or MJPEG video from an IP camera or a streaming encoder such as the Crestron DM-TXRX-100-STR reaches the screen over Ethernet, with no extra video wiring. Built-in speakers and a microphone support the Rava SIP intercom. The panel connects by 1000 Mbps Ethernet or Wi-Fi 6E on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, and has Bluetooth 5.2 (BLE).

Power comes over Ethernet, with the panel requesting 30 W (PoE+ Class 4) from an 802.3at Type 2 source when LLDP is not used. For room scheduling it supports Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft 365, Google Calendar and G Suite, and CollegeNET 25Live. What is the Crestron TS-880?

What is the difference between the TS-880-B, TS-880-W and TS-880-GV-B?

The TS-880-B is black and the TS-880-W is white. The TS-880-GV-B is the part Crestron lists as the Government Version. When replacing a panel, check the part number on the existing unit so the colour and version are the same.

How is the TS-880 powered?

It is an IEEE 802.3at Type 2 PoE+ powered device. Without LLDP it requests 30 W (PoE+ Class 4) from an 802.3at Type 2 power source. One Ethernet cable carries both power and 1000 Mbps data, and Wi-Fi 6E is available as well.

Can the TS-880 display camera video?

Yes. Native H.265, H.264 and MJPEG support lets it show live video from an IP camera or a streaming encoder such as the Crestron DM-TXRX-100-STR. The video is delivered to the panel over Ethernet, so no extra video cabling is required.

What is the built-in web browser for?

Its web browser opens online programme guides and other web-based services on the panel itself. That means a DVR or similar device can be operated from the touch screen instead of from a separate tablet or phone.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the TS-880 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Does the TS-880 come with a warranty?

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the TS-880 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Is the TS-880 in stock?

We order Crestron for each quote, so availability depends on Crestron's stock at the time. We check it before we quote and put the expected delivery date on your quote, so you know where you stand before you pay.

Can I buy the TS-880 without installation?

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
