About the Crestron SAROS SMT6T

A 6.5 in. (165 mm) injection-moulded polypropylene (IMPP) woofer and a 1 in. (25 mm) ceramic-coated aluminium tweeter cross over at 2 kHz. Frequency response is 65 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), with a range of 45 Hz to 20 kHz at ±10 dB, and sensitivity is 92 dB at 1 m. Coverage is 125° conical for speech and 120° for music, and power handling at 8 Ω is 110 W programme and 200 W peak.

The transformer has taps at 7.5, 15, 30 and 60 W, and a front-mounted, screwdriver-adjustable selector chooses the 70/100 V tap or 8 Ω. Wiring goes to a 4-pin 5 mm detachable terminal block with parallel pass-through, accepting up to 12 AWG. The enclosure and baffle are fibre-loaded polypropylene, fire retardant and UL rated, behind a powder-coated perforated aluminium grille.

It mounts on a die-cast aluminium wall bracket that fits a 1-gang box, with an adjustable yoke, a safety tether and the option of a pole clamp. The yoke allows ±18° of pitch and ±90° of yaw for aiming. The speaker measures 13.11 in. (333 mm) high, 7.84 in. (199 mm) wide and 8.17 in. (208 mm) deep, weighs 11.12 lb (5 kg), and each part number is a single speaker.
