About the Crestron GLXX-2DIM8
Each channel can be set to dim, 3-wire fluorescent or non-dim mode with its own recessed switch. Phase-synchronous detection eliminates lamp flicker, and electronic low voltage dimming is for forward-phase (leading edge) transformers only. Channels are phase-independent, with a positive air gap at each output and short circuit and overload protection.
Channels are rated 16 A each, with a 32 A module maximum, and they form two groups: DM1-DM4, powered from L1-N1, and DM5-DM8, powered from L2-N2. Each group is rated 16 A (1920 W) for lighting, or 1 HP at 120 V and 2 HP at 230/277 V for motors, and the minimum load is 25 W. Crestron's specification includes a note against mixing motor and lighting loads, so check how existing circuits are grouped when replacing a module.
Primary power is 100-277 VAC, 50/60 Hz, with an optional 5 W at 24 VDC through Cresnet, so the module can run on line or Cresnet power. Two 2-pin OVR inputs accept external contact closures to engage override mode. It is a surface mount module with integral mounting flanges and measures 281 mm high, 203 mm wide and 89 mm deep.
