Crestron GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN PIR Occupancy and Daylight Sensor, Cresnet

It is a flush ceiling mount sensor that works both as a passive infrared occupancy or vacancy sensor and as a closed-loop daylight sensor. It connects to a Crestron system over Cresnet and enables automation of lighting, shading, HVAC and AV equipment based on occupancy, vacancy and ambient light.

It covers up to 450 sq ft (42 sq m) with a rectangular pattern measuring 5.66 x 7.42 m (18.57 x 24.34 ft) at a ceiling height of 2.5 m (8.2 ft). The maximum ceiling height is 5 m (16.4 ft), and detection uses 64 PIR zones.

A built-in closed-loop photocell monitors the ambient light level from both natural and artificial sources, from 0 to 1000 lux, with a 360° hemispherical field of view. This supports daylight harvesting, with the Crestron system automating lighting and shading based on the measured light level.

It mounts flush in drywall or a ceiling tile, in a 1 in. (26 mm) round hole, and integrated compression clips hold it in place. The white housing is 39 mm in diameter and protrudes just 5 mm from the ceiling surface, giving a nearly hidden appearance.

With Walk-Through mode enabled, if a room is occupied for 90 seconds or less, the lights turn off 60 seconds after it is vacated. Grace occupancy applies in vacancy only mode: for 15 seconds after the lights turn off, waving a hand triggers the sensor and turns them back on.
