Crestron GLS-OIR-C-CN Passive Infrared Occupancy Sensor with Cresnet

It is a low-profile, ceiling-mounted occupancy sensor that uses passive infrared detection to cover large areas of up to 2,000 sq ft. It connects to a Crestron control system over Cresnet for integrated control of lighting, climate control and other devices in the room.

A highly sensitive, specialised lens splits the field of view into sensor zones. When someone passes into or out of a zone, the sensor detects the motion and switches the lights on, and they stay on for as long as motion is detected. PIR offers strong immunity to false triggering.

Both are PIR ceiling sensors covering up to 2,000 sq ft. The GLS-OIR-C-CN communicates with a Crestron control system over Cresnet and has built-in ambient light recognition and an external photosensor input. The GLS-OIR-C-NS is for standalone lighting systems, connects to a Versiport or digital input and uses a GLS-SIM, sold separately, to interface with a Crestron system.

Walk-Through mode turns the lights off after 90 seconds when the sensor detects only momentary occupancy, cutting unnecessary energy use. Grace occupancy applies in vacancy only mode: for 15 seconds after the lights turn off, a wave of the hand triggers the sensor and brings them back on.

Crestron's GLS-REMOTE-ODT/OIR is an IR remote designed for this sensor, and it is sold separately. It carries out full setup functions and adjusts a variety of sensor parameters from beneath the sensor, which removes the need for a ladder. It runs on two AAA batteries, which are included.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the GLS-OIR-C-CN on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the GLS-OIR-C-CN develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
