Crestron DIN-8SW8 8 Channel High-Voltage Switch with Digital Inputs

The DIN-8SW8, sold on this page as part number DIN-8SW8-I, is a DIN rail high-voltage switch with eight switched channels for non-dimmable lighting and fans. It also has eight isolated digital inputs for momentary switches, and it works with a Crestron control system over Cresnet.

Yes. By default, a momentary voltage applied to an input toggles the associated relay on or off, so standard momentary switches can control the channels with or without a control system. A connected Crestron control system can override this and use them as eight general-purpose inputs.

A single model supports both 120 V and 220 to 240 V applications at 50/60 Hz. Crestron lists support for lighting and motor loads in this range, and the module is designed for switching non-dimmable lighting and fans rather than dimming.

It allows an external contact closure to momentarily override the control system programme and set each channel output to its override preset level. Override levels can be adjusted and saved locally from the front panel, or remotely through software.

It snaps onto a standard DIN rail in a wall mount enclosure and is 9M wide. Wiring connections use screw terminals along the bottom, accessible from the front, and a pair of Cresnet ports allows several DIN Rail Series modules to be daisy-chained.
