About the Crestron AMP-X75

In stereo low impedance mode each channel gives up to 35 W into 4 or 8 ohms. Bridging into 8 ohms, or switching to Hi-Z for 70 V or 100 V speakers, gives one output of up to 75 W; in Hi-Z mode channels 1 and 2 are bridged, and a high-pass filter is applied at 80 Hz. Stereo or mono-summed operation is available, and frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±0.5 dB at 1 W.

There are two balanced inputs on 3-pin 3.5 mm terminal blocks and an unbalanced 3.5 mm TRS input, with screwdriver-adjustable, detented gain controls for each input channel. An ALS OUT on a 3.5 mm connector provides an unbalanced line-level output. The speaker output uses a 4-pin 5.08 mm captive plug with screw locking retainers, and a dry contact closure on the REMOTE terminal places the amplifier in standby.

The amplifier typically enters standby after 25 minutes with no signal and wakes in 0.1 s. Crestron lists 7.60 W idle in Hi-Z mode and 0.41 W in standby (at 230 V AC, 50 Hz). The fanless metal chassis is 110 mm wide, 223 mm deep and 44 mm high without feet, and comes with what is needed for surface mounting, rack mounting and ganging units together. It gangs with other half- and quarter-rack width Crestron products.

What is the Crestron AMP-X75?

Can the AMP-X75 drive 70 V or 100 V speakers?

Yes. In Hi-Z mode, channels 1 and 2 are bridged and set to 70 V or 100 V operation, giving one output of up to 75 W. A white HI-Z LED shows when this mode is enabled, and a high-pass filter is applied at 80 Hz.

How is the AMP-X75 mounted?

It can be freestanding, surface mounted, for example on a wall or under a table, or fitted in a 19-inch rack as a quarter-width 1 RU unit. It comes with what is needed for surface mounting, rack mounting and ganging units together, and gangs with other half- and quarter-rack width Crestron products.
