As a certified KNX Partner, 1Install is a KNX installer in Dublin, wiring and programming KNX for period houses, redbrick terraces and new apartments, with app and voice control through 1Home.
Your local KNX installer in Dublin
Dublin brings Victorian redbricks and Georgian houses where original plasterwork must survive, alongside new homes and apartments being fitted out from bare shells. We plan the KNX bus with your electrician and architect, keep keypads to slim plates, and fit the equipment into a cupboard or under the stairs.
One bus, many systems
- Every light dimmable, with scenes for mornings, evenings and guests
- Tunable white and RGB strips on DALI drivers
- Live readings from the electricity meter and solar inverter
- Lights that come on and off at random while you are on holiday
- Velux and skylight blinds on a timetable
Because we are an official 1Home partner, adding Google Home or Apple Home to KNX is one small box, the 1Home KNX server.
The KNX Association says the standard has been in use for over three decades in more than 180 countries. Browse the KNX installer guide, our blinds and curtains page and the automation page.

Questions we are often asked
Does KNX work with a heat pump?
Yes. KNX manages underfloor heating zones room by room, and many heat pumps connect to KNX through an interface.
Can KNX run blinds and curtains?
Yes. KNX actuators drive motorised blinds, curtains and shutters, and a weather station can close them in strong sun or wind.
Do you cover all of Dublin?
Yes. Our Dublin office covers Ballsbridge, Rathgar and Ranelagh and the rest of Dublin.
Areas we cover in Dublin
