Q-SYS Zoom Rooms: Three Newly Certified Devices for Dublin and Cork

QSC confirmed on 8 September 2026 that three more Q-SYS products, the NC-90-G2 network camera, the RoomSuite Modular System and the VisionSuite VSA-100 AI Accelerator, have become certified ProAV devices for Zoom Rooms. Organisations in Dublin and Cork building Q-SYS Zoom Rooms can now draw on certified hardware for compact wide rooms as well as larger spaces that need automatic camera switching.

  • Date announced: 8 September 2026, in a QSC press release issued from Costa Mesa, California.
  • The NC-90-G2 is an ePTZ network camera that QSC describes as built for smaller, wider collaboration spaces.
  • The VisionSuite VSA-100 is an AI accelerator that, according to QSC, adds autonomous camera framing and room automation.
  • The RoomSuite Modular System pairs an RMP-100 processor with a QIO-VEN4 expander for medium to large rooms, QSC says.
  • The news is relevant to anyone running, or planning, Zoom Rooms on the Q-SYS platform.

Three new Zoom Rooms certifications from QSC

QSC, which makes the Q-SYS platform for audio, video and control, published the announcement from Costa Mesa, California. The full text is on QSC's site: QSC press release, 8 September 2026. Two days later, on 10 September 2026, AV Interactive, the website of AV Magazine, ran the story under the headline "QSC earns Zoom Rooms certifications for three more devices".

Zoom's own Zoom Certified Hardware support article describes its Hardware Certification Program as creating a broad ecosystem of products certified to work with Zoom services. QSC frames the three new approvals as an extension of its existing range of Q-SYS products certified for Zoom Rooms. At the time of writing we could not see the three devices on a Zoom device list ourselves, so the certification status here rests on QSC's release.

Zoom also used the release to comment. James Martin, Lead Product Manager for Zoom Spaces at Zoom, said the certifications give customers "greater choice and flexibility when building collaboration spaces".

Why the NC-90-G2 matters for compact, wide rooms

Of the three products, the camera is the one most likely to appear in an everyday meeting room. QSC calls the NC-90-G2 its next generation network ePTZ camera, combining onboard AI with improved optics for smaller, wider spaces. The product page lists a fixed lens with electronic pan, tilt and zoom, a 90 degree horizontal field of view, 5x digital zoom and a 20 MP image sensor, with IP streams of up to 1080p.

Framing. The release highlights Active Speaker Framing and auto framing. On the product page, QSC explains that Active Speaker Framing uses positioning microphones built into the camera to find and frame whoever is talking, and that full body recognition keeps people in shot when they turn away.

Tile View. QSC also lists a Tile View mode that composes up to nine framed shots from a single camera, which suits rooms where far end participants want to see everyone at the table at once.

Cabling. The camera is powered over Ethernet, and QSC says one network cable carries its video, power and control data into Q-SYS. Fewer cable runs can make a difference when walls and ceilings are hard to open up.

The NC-90-G2 product page also displays a Certified for Microsoft Teams badge, which is useful for any organisation that runs both platforms.

Who in Dublin and Cork should take note

This news is most relevant to three groups. First, organisations that have standardised on Zoom and want rooms that go beyond a single video bar. Second, buildings that already use Q-SYS for audio, paging or control, where adding certified Q-SYS hardware to the Zoom rooms may keep everything on one platform. Third, universities, colleges and training providers whose lecture and training spaces need cameras that follow a presenter, which is where the VSA-100 fits.

For the larger end, QSC says the RoomSuite Modular System brings together a processor, switch, AV bridge and video switch, with a tableside I/O expander. It can be used with Zoom certified Q-SYS NL Series loudspeakers, NM-T1 tabletop microphones and NC Series cameras, and with partner ceiling microphones certified for Zoom Rooms. QSC adds that setup runs through a web based workflow, and that Q-SYS Reflect handles cloud monitoring alongside Zoom Device Manager.

The VSA-100, meanwhile, is described as combining computer vision scene analysis with Q-SYS camera switching and framing. QSC's page gives limits of 14 Speaker Spotlight cameras, one Presenter Spotlight camera and one Conductor camera, and notes the NC-90-G2 is supported as a Conductor camera only.

A planning checklist for Q-SYS Zoom Rooms projects

Before committing to hardware, it is worth working through these points with your IT team and AV designer:

  • Room shape: is the space short and wide, which QSC targets with the NC-90-G2, or long and deep, where several cameras and the VSA-100 may be considered?
  • Microphone type: will tabletop microphones such as the NM-T1 work with the furniture, or does the ceiling suit certified partner ceiling microphones?
  • Network readiness: does the switch have the ports and PoE budget for cameras and other networked devices, and is there a VLAN plan?
  • Monitoring: who will use Q-SYS Reflect and Zoom Device Manager day to day, and who responds when a room goes offline?
  • Platform mix: do any rooms also need Microsoft Teams or Google Meet? QSC shows Teams certification on the NC-90-G2, and Teams plus Google Meet badges on the VSA-100.
  • Supply: the release gives no shipping dates or pricing, so confirm availability and lead times when ordering.

Our pages on meeting room AV and audio conferencing cover these areas of a project, and smaller spaces are covered on our huddle rooms page.

Fitting Q-SYS into rooms across Dublin and Cork

Office buildings vary widely, from new builds with raised floors and open ceilings to older converted premises where every cable run needs care. In the second type of building, a camera that takes video, power and control over one network cable, as QSC describes the NC-90-G2, can simplify the install. In a modern office with a large divisible space or training suite, RoomSuite and the VSA-100 are aimed at the bigger rooms.

Questions we are often asked

Is the Q-SYS NC-90-G2 certified for Zoom Rooms?

Yes. QSC's September 2026 release lists it as newly certified as a ProAV device for Zoom Rooms, extending the NC Series range that already held certification.

Which Q-SYS products became Zoom Rooms certified in September 2026?

Three: the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, the NC-90-G2 network camera and the Q-SYS VisionSuite VSA-100 AI Accelerator, according to QSC's release of 8 September 2026.

Can the NC-90-G2 be used with the VSA-100?

Yes, but QSC's VSA-100 page lists the NC-90-G2 as supported for the Conductor camera role only, alongside the NC-12x80 and NC-20x60 cameras.

Does a Q-SYS Zoom Room need a ceiling microphone?

No. QSC lists both its NM-T1 tabletop microphones and certified partner ceiling microphones as options for the RoomSuite Modular System, so the choice depends on the room.

What does Zoom certification involve?

Zoom says its Hardware Certification Program builds a broad ecosystem of products certified to work with Zoom services; QSC and Zoom did not publish further test details for these three devices in the release.
