QSC said on 21 October 2026 that its Windows based Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar is now certified for Microsoft Teams, alongside the RoomSuite Modular System and the NC-90-G2 camera, widening the choice of Q-SYS Teams Rooms hardware. For Dublin offices the bar is the headline: a single unit with cameras, microphones, speakers and a Windows computer that QSC says is already shipping in more than fifty countries, including across Europe.

- QSC announced the certification of the Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar for Microsoft Teams on 21 October 2026.
- The bar runs Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise with an Intel Core i5, 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage.
- It pairs with the RS-CB-CTL11 touch controller and up to four RS-CB-TM table microphones, QSC says.
- QSC says the bar is registered to its Q-SYS Reflect cloud service by scanning a QR code, and says Reflect offers regional data hosting in Europe.
- The same release also certified the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System and the NC-90-G2 network camera.
Q-SYS Teams Rooms: what changed on 21 October 2026
QSC, the maker of the Q-SYS audio, video and control platform, published a release from Costa Mesa, California listing three products now certified for Microsoft Teams. The Collaboration Bar is the one most Dublin offices will meet first, because it is the simplest way into a Q-SYS room: there is no separate computer, no rack and no custom programming.
Albert Kooiman, General Manager for Microsoft Teams Partner Engineering at Microsoft, said in the release that the bar and the modular system "unite together the power of Teams Rooms on Windows with Q-SYS innovation". At the time of writing, Microsoft's own certified hardware list shows the bar as a Teams Rooms on Windows console.
What is inside the bar
These figures for the RS-CB-MTRW come from QSC's product page, and are worth checking against the current spec sheet when you order.
- Cameras: four 50 megapixel sensors, two wide (125 degrees across) and two telephoto (42 degrees), with 8x hybrid zoom and an automatic privacy shutter.
- Microphones: a 16 element array that QSC says picks up voices up to 10 metres away.
- Speakers: built in stereo, up to 20 watts per side.
- Displays: two screens supported over HDMI at up to 4K60.
- Network: four Ethernet ports, including ones for the controller and the table microphones, plus Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.
- Touch controller (RS-CB-CTL11): a 10.95 inch screen with a motion sensor to wake it, powered over Ethernet, and a USB-C input for sharing a laptop in the room.
- Table microphone (RS-CB-TM): eight elements with beamforming and a pickup radius of up to 3 metres; up to four can be chained to one bar.
QSC also lists software camera features: Active Speaker Framing, which uses audio position data to frame the person talking, a Video Fence to keep parts of the room out of shot, and Tile View and Active Speaker Tiling, both marked as beta. QSC describes the bar as suited to standard small to large meeting spaces but gives no room dimensions.
How it is managed after installation
QSC says the bar works out of the box in minutes without Q-SYS Designer software, with a browser based tool for further settings. Each bar is added to Q-SYS Reflect by scanning a QR code on the box or the bar. Reflect watches device health from the cloud, and QSC says Reflect Plus, which adds presets for rolling settings out across many rooms, is coming soon for the bar. For organisations that care where data is held, QSC says Reflect offers regional hosting in Europe.
Which Dublin rooms suit the Collaboration Bar
Think of the typical office around the Docklands, the city centre or a business park on the M50: a few huddle spaces, several eight to twelve seat meeting rooms and perhaps one boardroom. The bar fits the middle group well, where one wall holds the screen and people sit around a single table. Add table microphones for a long table and the touch controller at the head.
It is not the answer for every space. A boardroom with ceiling microphones, two cameras or a divisible wall points towards the RoomSuite Modular System or a Q-SYS Core design instead, both covered in the same announcement.
Before you buy
Network first. The controller and table microphones take their power from ports on the bar itself, so the switch mainly needs to provide the bar's own network connection. Agree VLANs and firewall rules for Teams Rooms and Reflect with IT before installation day.
Licences. Each Teams Room needs a Microsoft Teams Rooms licence, so budget for it with the hardware.
Mounting. QSC says wall and table mounting parts are included; check the screen height and wall construction during the survey.
Features marked coming soon. QSC lists remote and far end functions and bring your own meeting on the controller's second port as coming soon, so do not plan a room around them yet.

Questions we are often asked
Is there a Q-SYS video bar for Microsoft Teams Rooms?
Yes. The Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar (RS-CB-MTRW) runs Teams Rooms on Windows, and QSC announced its Microsoft Teams certification on 21 October 2026.
Does the Q-SYS Collaboration Bar need a separate PC?
No. QSC builds the Windows computer into the bar, with an Intel Core i5, 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage.
How many table microphones can the Q-SYS bar take?
Up to four. QSC says the RS-CB-TM microphones are powered over Ethernet, can be daisy chained and only connect to the Collaboration Bar.
Can the Q-SYS bar be managed remotely?
Yes. QSC says each bar registers to Q-SYS Reflect for cloud monitoring by scanning a QR code, with Reflect Plus presets listed as coming soon.
Is the Collaboration Bar available in Ireland?
QSC says the bar is shipping in more than fifty countries, including in Europe. It does not list individual countries, so check stock with your supplier at the time of ordering.
