What the developer asked for
The builder works at the top end of the market and wanted the house to be handed over with technology of the same standard: an alarm the buyers could rely on, good lighting indoors and out, and cabling already in place for a fuller system.
What went in
- An intruder alarm with a keypad indoors and 1Install bell boxes outside.
- Outdoor lighting on the garage and around the grounds.
- Lighting through the house, down to the floor lights around the bath.
- Structured cabling, brought back to a labelled distribution board.
How it turned out
The house was secure and well lit on the day the keys were handed over. When the owners decide they want a complete smart home, the cables for it are already there.
