A Georgian country house that had outgrown its network, given a new rack, Wi-Fi in every room, CCTV and a reprogrammed Control4 system.

What the owners asked for
The system had been added to bit by bit over the years, and the network underneath it was never sized for a house this large. The owners wanted two things: equipment they could depend on, and a wireless signal in every room.
What went in
- A new equipment rack, with each cable labelled and a colour for each type of connection.
- A new network, with wireless access points placed around the house.
- CCTV, with a monitor so the household can see the cameras.
- The Control4 system brought up to date and programmed afresh.
How it turned out
The Wi-Fi now reaches every room, Control4 answers at once, and an engineer can service the rack without having to work out what each cable does.
