A meeting room video bar installation sounds like one box on a wall, but the finished result depends on everything around it. This meeting room in Dublin city centre, set up over two days in February 2023, has a Samsung display on the wall, a Logitech video bar fixed directly below it and a Logitech Tap touch controller on the table. The photos show it from the mounting stage to the finished room.
Mounting the display on a swing arm
One photo, taken the day before the finished room, shows the display swung out from the wall on its arm. The arm is fixed to a timber backing board on the wall, a small black unit is mounted beside it, and the Logitech video bar sits below. A swing arm lets the display move away from the wall, so the cables and the unit behind it can be reached without lifting the screen off.
The finished room
On the second day the room was ready. The display shows the room's name and an invitation to add the room to a meeting from a personal device. The Logitech bar is centred under the screen, and on the white table there is a Logitech Tap touch controller and a Polycom speakerphone. White chairs with chrome frames sit along the table, and blue acoustic panels cover the wall around the screen.
Planning a meeting room video bar installation
A video bar brings the camera, the microphones and the speakers together in one unit, which is why it suits a small or medium meeting room. Choose one to match the size of the room and the platform your team uses, and decide early how the room will be controlled. A touch controller on the table, like the Logitech Tap here, keeps starting a meeting simple for visitors as well as staff. Logitech's business collaboration range shows what the maker offers.
Our pages on video conferencing, meeting rooms and flat panel displays cover each part of a room like this one, and audio conferencing explains the options when a room needs extra microphones or speakers.
